Module 2: Double Leg Takedown Fundamentals

Module 2: Double Leg Takedown Fundamentals Almost two-and-a-half hours of instruction on 2 DVD's!
The double leg takedown is the most fundamental takedown in wrestling. It is also crucial as the associated method of closing the distance also forms the basis of the head outside single leg attack on your opponent's same side. Both are important alternatives to the head inside single on your opponent's opposite side, in each instance maintaining your same foot forward stance. You will learn to apply different set-ups, methods of level changing and footwork for attacking along with a variety of finishing techniques predicated on your opponent's initial and subsequent defensive maneuvers. Most important, you will be taught what makes the double leg takedown work and why. Principles and examples are discussed with regard to utilizing the double leg takedown efficiently in the MMA arena.

In developing this wrestling video series for martial artists, I was well aware of what is already available, and have made what I believe to be the most detailed, comprehensive, and organized videos — and integrated series — of its kind. (Close to forty hours of raw video was filmed over the course of the winter and spring of 2004!) You will be a better wrestler utilizing the Wrestling Plan in your training. The details do make a difference.
